Embracing the Pirate Life: A Mr. Smee-Inspired Ensemble for Disneybound Adventurers

Today’s Disneybound Challenge is Mermaids & Pirates. And I know he’s a bad guy but I just can’t help but love Mr. Smee! He is a Pooh-sized character after all! He seems like a friendly, bumbling first mate but he really does love the pirate life. At one point he tells Captain Hook that he misses his “good old days when we was leading a healthy, normal life, scuttling ships, cutting throat.” Like me, we’re not as innocent as we look!

This outfit is more for a leisurely boat ride and not a high seas adventure. I love these linen pants from Old Navy. They are so comfy but also so chic. And you really can’t go wrong with a blue striped t-shirt. If you want to have a more cropped look you can get something like a CropTuck to tuck up the shirt. Mr. Smee is really brought together in the details: gold rope hoops, red hair bow, brown sandals, and a bag with a little reminder for Mr. Smee to always be listening for that tick-tock sound.
